Are you looking for a 100% organic fertilizer that influences healthy plant growth?!
Check out worm castings!
Whether you are planting a garden or just have a few plants on the deck/patio, your plants will benefit from using worm castings.
Worm castings are the richest natural fertilizer known to humans. So what is it? Worm Castings are an intricate mass of soil, mud, and/or sand thrown up by an earthworm. Also referred to as vermicast or vermicompost but in all reality it's just a fancy name for worm poo.
Worm castings are rich in minerals such as nitrates, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium and calcium. It can also contain manganese, copper, zinc, cobalt, borax, iron, carbon and nitrogen that can increase a plant's yield, protect both soil and plants from diseases, improve soil structure and helps soil retain moisture. Can also be an effective pest repellent for those that feed on plants, such as aphids and spider mites.
There are 3 ways to use worm castings. One way is to simply add it to your potting soil when planting. The second way is to just sprinkle around the plant after planting. And lastly, create a "tea" to use when watering.
Refresh monthly by adding a small amount of worm castings to the top of the soil throughout the growing season. Don't worry if you add too much, unlike chemical fertilizers, worm castings won't harm your plants! at all!
Worm castings can last up to 6 months – and sometimes longer – depending on the method of storage.
We offer two different sizes!
2 gallon - $10.95
40lb - $35
